Brian is dedicated to making deals happen and passionately advocating for the best interests of his clients, whether that client is a national real estate player purchasing property or a local business finalizing a vendor agreement. Through over a decade of experience, he has developed a propensity for practical problem-solving through his experience in private practice and as in-house counsel.

As a partner in KVCF’s Real Estate Practice, Brian focuses his practice on all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including the purchase, sale and financing of developed and undeveloped real property having represented office and retail properties on behalf of landlords, tenants, developers, lenders and borrowers, and planned development.

Brian also had extensive corporate experience representing companies large and small in industries such as manufacturing, construction, distribution, commercial real estate development and retail having assisted his clients with contract review, drafting, and negotiation, entity creation, employment matters, buy and sell agreements, shareholder agreements, and general business interests and counseling.

Before joining KVCF, Brian handled commercial real estate, construction and business matters for a firm in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Prior to that, he worked as in-house counsel for a publicly traded manufacturing company and represented the company in matters pertaining to business law, real estate law, regulatory compliance, commercial litigation and employment matters.

As an Army officer, Brian had the privilege of serving with First Infantry Division in Germany, Poland, Turkey, Kuwait, and Iraq and was awarded a Bronze Star Medal for his service in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom II.

Currently, he has the pleasure of serving as the Vice-President of the West Point Society of Richmond and remains committed to beating Navy at every opportunity!

Outside of the office, Brian can usually be found either playing golf or enjoying adventures with his wife Stacy and their two children.
