Rob brings extensive experience in the acquisition, disposition, financing and leasing of commercial real estate. He has represented national retailers and developers, real estate investment trusts, and other real estate syndicators, and has significant property development and Section 1031 exchange experience.
Throughout his career, Rob has led outside real estate counsel for a national entertainment company, handling 50+ dispositions as well as negotiating ground leases and other property development–related agreements. He has overseen numerous successful closings, with associated commercial mortgage-backed securities and non-CMBS financings, of office building, shopping center and apartment complex acquisitions throughout the United States, and has represented developers in the acquisition and development of drugstores and convenience stores.
Rob has drafted and negotiated multiparty property use and development, property management, utility and construction contracts and loan documents for an $86 million construction loan and $22 million mezzanine loan. His accomplishments also include completion of several sale-leaseback transactions for both sellers and buyers, including a $100 million sale-leaseback transaction involving multiple automobile dealerships and multiple CMBS and non-CMBS loan assumptions and defeasances.
