Kathy focuses on general business, corporate and securities matters. Her experience includes stock and asset acquisitions, dispositions and reorganizations; corporate formation and dissolution; employment and franchise law matters; public and private securities offerings; and securities and broker-dealer regulation.
Kathy has advised numerous sponsors on real estate investment trusts, 1031 syndications (Delaware statutory trusts/tenant in common) and private placements of real estate investments, and has represented leading investment banking firms in public offerings for REITs. Kathy also counsels clients on matters involving estate planning, including federal estate and gift taxation, succession planning, wills, trusts, and estate administration.
Kathy brings more than a decade of hands-on business experience to her practice. Prior to law school, Kathy was general manager of a direct mail advertising company, where she directed day-to-day operations and managed an award-winning sales team.
