Meredith Haynes litigates in state and federal courts, with an emphasis on business tort, construction, health care, land use, and shareholder disputes, as well as the defense of consumer protection and class action claims. Meredith has handled all stages and aspects of litigation, including pre-suit investigation, taking and defending depositions, motions practice, expert discovery, and trial.

Meredith has handled all stages and aspects of litigation, including pre-suit investigation, taking and defending depositions, motions practice, expert discovery, and trial. Meredith has worked on appellate matters before the Supreme Court of Virginia and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
Meredith returned to the firm in the summer of 2023 after serving as a law clerk to U.S. District Judge Elizabeth W. Hanes in the Eastern District of Virginia. She is a past participant in the National Trial Advocacy College conducted at the University of Virginia School of Law. She is listed in Virginia Super Lawyers Rising Stars magazine (2014-2015, 2017-2020), and she has been listed as one of Virginia's "Legal Elite" among young lawyers by Virginia Business magazine (2017 and 2020-2021). She has also been listed in Virginia Medical Law Reports’ list of Million Dollar Defense Verdicts. Meredith received the Virginia State Bar’s Outstanding Service Award in 2013. Meredith is active in state and local bar associations and frequently presents on topics relevant to her practice.
Meredith received a Bachelor of Arts degree, with distinction, from the University of Virginia and a Juris Doctor degree from Washington and Lee University School of Law, where she was an R.H. Powell Honor Scholar. In her third year of law school, Meredith represented Rockbridge County residents in family law matters with her third-year practice certificate through the Community Legal Practice Center.
